Slow Burn Horror

Slow Burn Horror is a hearthstone for fans of movies, books, televisions shows, games, and stories that creep up on you.

Slow Burn Horror publishes creative-critical breakdowns of the slow burn horror genre, from analyses of media to examination of tropes. I am the editor-in-chief of Slow Burn Horror, creating and curating its content. My friend and colleague Amber Donovan-Stevens illustrates the website. The website publishes content from a variety of contributors and is always open for submission.

Long-term plans: We intend to use our cabal of horror writers to publish Slow Burn: Household Horror, a horror anthology. The anthology will consist of short stories following the same prompt: horror that is fed to the reader on a slow drip, a creeping dread that comes from the most mundane of places. The anthology (at the time of writing) will feature work from myself, Kathryn Leigh, Georgina Pearsall, Amber Donovan-Stevens, and Harry Menear, all graduates of the University of East Anglia's Creative Writing program (and close friends with a passion for things that go bump in the night). Amber Donovan-Stevens will also provide nightmarish Ralph Steadman-inspired artwork for the anthology.
