Poetry published in Bare Fiction magazine
I had poems published in UK literary magazine, Bare Fiction, submitted through submission call. My work appears in Issue 8, published September 2016. The poems are experimental, from a series titled "City Poems", which uses the arrangement of words on the page to relate to the motifs associated with different cities around the world, evoking both their physical and intangible characteristics.
Excerpt from "London"
"The carriage boils over
with hot stirring bodies.
The masses, amidst their
newspapers and iPhones
and vacant stares, simmer.
Yes, I felt you bump your
sleazy hand into my side,
but I was too polite to
comment. The jostling of
the train, metallic, clinical,
sets body upon body in a
sexless orgy of writhing
limbs. You with the
guitar, infusing the mass
with broken chords and a
trembling voice: give up.
You are lost in the crowd.
You become the crowd.
We are the Underground."
